Donation presentation to Paws For Therapy I.O.M
Laxey Dog Club annual fun dog show raised £600 this year, and the proceeds have been given to local charity Paws for Therapy (Isle of Man) which arranges for registered and assessed animals to carry out therapeutic visits to hospice, nursing, residential and care homes, day care centres, special needs units, schools and many similar places.
Laxey Dog Club trains puppies and older dogs in basic obedience and ‘good citizenship’, and meets weekly on Wednesday evenings at the Working Men’s Institute in Laxey.
The picture shows Mary Sims of Paws for Therapy receiving the cheque from Judy Brown, Secretary of Laxey Dog Club and trainers and members of the club.
